My daughter said they're known for the Stick Donut. She loves it so we purchased a total of 15 sticks to bring home. The worker said they're also known for the Cream Puff with Vanilla Custard Filling. I remember trying this when employees from Maui used to fly to Oahu and bring it for our department...didn't know they bought it from here. It's soooo good...wish I could've brought some home but this place closes at 1pm and I fly out at 9:30 pm tonight...I'm so sad. Well, I bought one each for the 3 of us so we're satisfied but still sad. We brought the Stick Donut home and gave to a few people. Everyone liked it but to my husband and I, we thought it tasted like donut holes...nothing special. Not sure what we're missing here...lol! FYI: - This place is located on a busy road and hard to find street parking...we had to get dropped off so good to have a designated driver to look for parking. - They run out of donuts so the worker said it's good to call in your order.

Perfect stop if you're visiting Haleakalā or near Haiku We were super excited to try this after hearing the history and how long they've been in business. Tried the Guava donut (malasada). It was so worth the stop! Filling was so flavorful and not overly sweet. Donut had a fresh prefect texture. There was not much else in the store but lots of sweets to choose from!

A delicious stop for the famous malasadas on a stick as well as the more traditional malasadas - both custard filled and regular. The grocery offered lots of other bread options as well but we had our eyes on malasadas! Easy ordering and takeaway, friendly and fast service.

Nice workers, nice bakery, nice food. On our first visit to the bakery we arrived at 11am and were met with shelves that were almost completely empty. On our second visit, we woke up early and arrived while the bakery still had much to offer. So be advised: come early or leave empty/handed. That being said, I don't know that this location has any distinguishing features. My family and I ordered ten or so items, but were not blown away by any. The creams and filling were very good, but the dough of the pastries was so dense that the malassadas came out to be slightly above average overall. Same goes for the stick and the classic jelly doughnut. I do not regret coming here, but I would not say this is a must visit. The place serves nice baked goods, but not incredible baked goods.

The Best pastries in Hawaii, hands down! It's been over 2 decades since I've had pastries from here & nothing's changed (in a good way) they still do everything traditionally. You can tell The custard filling in the cream puffs & Long Johns are made from scratch & the stick donuts melt in your mouth, just as I remembered!

When you come here it is really for the glazed twist on a stick Same idea for years. Delish.
